First Look At Resident Evil 4 Remake Revealed At State of Play
PlayStation‘s State of Play event kicked off by announcing the long-rumored Resident Evil 4 Remake. The trailer didn’t show much gameplay but it certainly featured the visual upgrades it plans to bring to one of the fan-favorite entries in the Resident Evil franchise. The trailer showed off plenty of footage of the familiar locations and characters plus a release date of early 2023.
With an upgraded look to Leon Kennedy, Ada Wong, Ashley Graham, Luis, as well as Osmund Saddler, and Bitores Mendez, the iconic village and Salazar Castle have seen a big upgrade as is shown in the short trailer. One thing to look forward to is the expansion of the plotline in Resident Evil 4 as the trailer hints at a possible tweak that will correlate with Resident Evil 2 and serve more as a direct sequel than the original 2005 game.
The trailer also shows off another version of Resident Evil 4 in the works, as the trailer gives a brief tease of the VR content that is in development for Resident Evil 4.
Resident Evil4 will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on March 24th, 2023. Check out the trailer below:
