The Callisto Protocol State of Play Trailer Features Brutal Gameplay and a December Release Date
PlayStation‘s State of Play showed off a new trailer for the highly anticipated The Callisto Protocol which featured some of the brutal and bloody gameplay players will be subjected to when the game arrives this December. The horror survival game is being developed by Striking Distance Studios which is led by Glen Schofield who was part of the development team on 2008’s Dead Space.
The terrifying gameplay featured is very reminiscent of Dead Space but Schofield and Striking Distance Studios are looking to chart a new path for their new horror franchise with protagonist Jacob Lee. Lee finds himself on the wrong end of a gory and horrifying experience aboard a secluded space station of some sort.
As players wander the corridors, they will become subject to disturbing monsters which introduce players to the combat that is set to include both melee and ranged combat. The trailer has one constant theme, players will be fighting for survival every step of the way this December.
The Callisto Protocol will release on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC on December 2nd, 2022. Check out the new trailer below:
