Encanto and More Getting Singalong Version Films on Disney+
Disney+ has announced that it will be putting its vast library of musical classics and hit new releases to fans in a new and exciting way. The streamer will be including singalong versions of some of their most popular musicals to the streaming service and it will all begin with the most recent, Oscar-nominated film, Encanto. The film will premiere in just a few days on March 18th, 2022.
The film dropped on the streamer in November of last year and since has recorded an average viewing of five times per subscriber on Disney+ and amassing a total of 180M rewatches. The music from the songwriting legend Lin-Manuel Miranda has taken over the minds and homes of Disney fans worldwide, taken over social media, and even was the first Disney song to reach the Billboard 100 in almost three decades.
Joining Encanto with singalong versions of the film, Frozen, Frozen 2, and both the animated and live-action version of Beauty of the Beast. This is a sure way to give fans a new way to re-experience these fan-favorite films and with its massive library of musicals, this could easily become something that the streamer moves forward with for the long run in the future.
The singalong version of Encanto hits Disney+ on March 18. Check out the sneak preview below:
