Don’t Worry Trailer Features Florence Pugh and Harry Styles in a Psychological Thriller
Warner Bros. and New Line Pictures have revealed a trailer for the upcoming film Don’t Worry Darling. The film is set to star Florence Pugh and Harry Styles in a psychological thriller focusing on a cult-like organization. Styles replaced Shia LeBeouf for the role and Pugh’s role in the film is very reminiscent of her role in the film Midsommar. The film is set to be Olivia Wilde‘s follow-up film to her directorial debut film Booksmart.

The trailer introduces viewers to Alice (Pugh) and her husband Jack (Styles) who reside in an experimental suburbia created by a corporate CEO (Chris Pine). With her husband and other men working on a top-secret project called the Victory Project, the wives spend time enjoying the luxury of the town and their lifestyle. With questions being raised about the work the men do, and their entire life quite possibly being more than what is seen on the surface, viewers are sure to be led into a thought-provoking thriller that will have us questioning everything.
The official synopsis reads:
“Alice (Pugh) and Jack (Styles) are lucky to be living in the idealized community of Victory, the experimental company town housing the men who work for the top-secret Victory Project and their families. The 1950’s societal optimism espoused by their CEO, Frank (Pine)—equal parts corporate visionary and motivational life coach—anchors every aspect of daily life in the tight-knit desert utopia.
While the husbands spend every day inside the Victory Project Headquarters, working on the “development of progressive materials,” their wives—including Frank’s elegant partner, Shelley (Chan)—get to spend their time enjoying the beauty, luxury and debauchery of their community. Life is perfect, with every resident’s needs met by the company. All they ask in return is discretion and unquestioning commitment to the Victory cause.
But when cracks in their idyllic life begin to appear, exposing flashes of something much more sinister lurking beneath the attractive façade, Alice can’t help questioning exactly what they’re doing in Victory, and why. Just how much is Alice willing to lose to expose what’s really going on in this paradise?”
Also starring in the film alongside Pugh, Styles, and Pine will be Wilde, KeKe Layne, Gemma Chan, Nick Kroll, Sydney Chandler, Kate Berlant, Asif Ali, Douglas Smith, Timothy Simons, and Ari’el Stachel. The film was written by Katie Silberman from a story by Silberman, Carey Van Dyke, and Shane Van Dyke. The film was produced by Wilde, Silberman, Miri Yoon, and Roy Lee. Richard Brener, Celia Khong, Alex G. Scott, Catherine Hardwicke, Carey, and Shane Van Dyke executive produced the film.
Don’t Worry Darling will arrive in theaters on September 23rd, 2022. Check out the first trailer for the film below:
