Daredevil Reboot Reportedly in Development
Disney+ recently added all the Marvel series previously housed at Netflix. One of the most successful in the library was Daredevil, which saw Charlie Cox take the mantle of the devil in Hell’s Kitchen. Cox recently made a cameo appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home which reinvigorated talks of a possible season 4 of Daredevil, according to Production Weekly‘s listing of a “Daredevil reboot,” we might be getting something in the future.
Listed alongside the confirmed projects including Deadpool 3, Madame Web, and Kraven the Hunter which recently got updates as Shawn Levy joins Deadpool 3 as director, and Sydney Sweeney recently being cast alongside Dakota Johnson in Madame Web, while Kraven the Hunter found its villain in Christopher Abbott. The Daredevil reboot listed was quite a surprise to many and Marvel has yet to confirm the listing.
A reboot makes sense moving forward as Netflix adapted Daredevil under certain limitations that may not be a factor under the guidance of Disney and Marvel Studios. A soft reboot could help the character be implemented into the MCU more seamlessly than trying to connect the dots of three seasons under its belt.
All signs could be pointing to this revival when you consider Vincent D’Onofrio entered the MCU in the Hawkeye and Cox showing face in No Way Home, if Marvel does anything well, it’s playing the long game, and usually keeping fans in the dark until the grand reveal.
If the Productions Weekly report is accurate, then you can expect to see any upcoming seasons of Daredevil on Disney+ in the future.
