Chainsaw Man English Voice Cast Revealed Along with New Trailer
Crunchyroll has released a new trailer for the upcoming horror-action anime Chainsaw Man along with an announcement of the English dub voice cast. Crunchyroll acquired the rights to the popular manga series of the same name which is written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto.
The series follows a teenager who is brought back to life and has chainsaws in replacement of arms. This is a world where Devils exist and out that comes the need for Devil Hunters. Both seek to destroy each other and as Devils are born out of the fear of humans, their existence seems endless. The protagonist of the series named Denji is betrayed and forms a deal with his pet Devil named Pochita who saves his life and out of that contract, Chainsaw Man is born.
Chainsaw Man is directed by Ryū Nakayama from a screenplay written by Hiroshi Seko and character designs by Kiyotaka Oshiyama, art direction by Yusuke Takeda, and music composed by Kensuke Ushio. The English dub cast includes Ryan Colt Levy, Suzie Yeung, Reagan Murdock, and Sarah Wiedenheft.
Check out Chainsaw Man’s official synopsis:
“Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita. One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as “Chainsaw Man”–a man with a devil’s heart.”
Chainsaw Man will premiere at New York City Comic-Con this weekend with the anime officially premiering on October 11th, 2022. Along with an English dub, the anime series will offer dubs in Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, and German.
