Hunter x Hunter Manga Returning from Four-Year Hiatus This November
Crunchyroll has confirmed that Yoshihiro Togashi‘s popular Shonen manga series Hunter x Hunter will be returning from a four-year hiatus this November. This makes the longest hiatus in the manga series to date with the last volume released in 2018. Fans have been eagerly awaiting for years for the long-anticipated Volume 37 and now fans have confirmation through the official Shonen Jump social media account and Crunchyroll that in November, fans will have new Hunter x Hunter coming their way. The new volume will continue the series with chapters 381-390.
The delay was unfortunately caused by Togashi‘s health issues with his most recent statement having given fans a clear status on his back problems that have affected both his projects and overall life. As eager as fans may find themselves for a new chapter in the beloved manga series, we wish Togashi a speedy recovery.
The manga series got its start in 1998 with two animes series based on the manga coming out of it. The universe of Hunter x Hunter finds readers embarking on adventures in a world where licensed pros calling themselves Hunters work to take down anything from criminals to monsters and even hunt for treasure. The story follows Gon, a young boy who takes the Hunter exam in hopes to find his now distant father who was a legendary Hunter in his own right and abandoned him as a child.
Hunter x Hunter Volume 37 will release on November 4th, 2022 but no release date has been given for the English translation of the upcoming chapters.
