Captain Carter Spotted in New Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Trailer
Marvel Studios recently released a new short teaser ahead of the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness which is set to release in just a few days. The short teaser officially mentions Marvel‘s Illuminati by name. On top of that, Marvel Studios dropped a very quick glimpse of Captain Carter taking on Scarlet Witch(Elizabeth Olsen).
Here’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ official synopsis:
“In Marvel Studios’ ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,’ the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.”
The trailer only shows the iconic shield with Great Britain’s flag in place of the classic Captain America stars & stripes shield. There is no confirmation whether the footage is in place to throw fans off, which Marvel Studios trailers are known to do, or if Captain Carter will in fact appear in the film if Hayley Atwell will reprise her role. The inclusion of Captain Carter would be huge and if Atwell returned to reprise her role, many fans who were not happy to see Agent Carter see a quick end will be very happy.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will star Benedict Cumberbatch, Xochitl Gomez, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Also set to appear in the film, is Patrick Stewart. Sam Raimi directed Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness from a script by Jade Bartlett and Michael Waldron.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness arrives in theaters on May 6th, 2022. Check out the teaser below:
