Blood and Honey 2 Will Bring Even More Terrifying Look To Hundred Acre Wood

After the chilling success of the slasher horror film, Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, fans can brace themselves for an even more horrifying sequel. Filmmakers Rhys Frake-Waterfield and Scott Jeffrey are back with Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2, ready to take terror to new heights and an even bigger budget.

The story picks up after the days of carefree adventures and merriment, as Christopher Robin, now grown and disillusioned, abandons Winnie-The-Pooh and Piglet. Left to fend for themselves, these beloved characters succumb to anger and abandonment, spiraling into a feral existence. In their unending hunger, they develop a taste for blood, embarking on a gruesome quest to find a new source of sustenance. Prepare yourself, for their bloody rampage is about to begin.

Frake-Waterfield and Jeffrey spoke with THR about the impending sequel, assuring fans that “Number two is better than number one in every single aspect.” With a clearer vision of the platform’s potential, the filmmakers poured dedicated time and effort into this terrifying installment. Frake-Waterfield shared, “This time we’ve gone into it knowing [the mass appeal], so a lot more time can be dedicated towards it. I’ve not really worked on anything else this year.”

One significant upgrade lies in the creatures themselves. Previously, the monster’s appearance consisted of a mask, cleaning gloves, and a red lumberjack shirt. However, for this sequel, the filmmakers have enlisted the talents of a renowned prosthetics company that has worked on major franchises like Harry Potter and Star Wars. Their expertise breathes new fear into the creature designs, resulting in a more terrifying and intricate portrayal of Pooh.

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 is set to slash its way into theaters on February 14, 2024, bringing Valentine’s Day an unforgettable dose of horror.
