Blizzard Announces New Survival Game Set In New Universe – Shows Off Initial Artwork
Blizzard Entertainment has announced a survival game that is set in an “all-new universe.” The announcement was made in an unexpected manner as it came via a job listing.
The official Twitter account for Blizzard posted the listing and asked applicants to join the team on the survival game that will be “its next chapter.” The accompanying art points to a game set in a fantasy world and as it’s been said to be set in an all-new world, we can be safe in assuming this is not another World of Warcraft adventure. All the same, a fantasy setting is where the developer has always felt at home and has shined in creating unique experiences for players.
“Blizzard is embarking on our next quest,” the job posting reads. “We are going on a journey to a whole new universe, home to a brand-new survival game for PC and console. A place full of heroes we have yet to meet, stories yet to be told, and adventures yet to be lived. A vast realm of possibility, waiting to be explored. Every story needs a teller. And every world needs builders. What if that could be you?”
The job listing continues, asking, “do you like survival games? Do you want to join a collaborative team of experienced developers at the early stage of a new project in a new world…and help write the next chapter in Blizzard’s story?”
Although they are calling it an unannounced game in their announcement of the job listing, it still remains to be officially announced with the upcoming games’ title and more information on the project as well.
