Aquaman King of Atlantis Trailer Brings Us An Oceanic Animated Adventure

An official trailer for HBO Max’s Aquaman King of Atlantis has been released and it teases the arrival of a new three-part animated miniseries adventure. The new adventure featuring Aquaman shows off a brighter, bolder, and more lighthearted approach than what we typically see from DC’s animated universe.

The three-part event begins on “Aquaman’s first day on the job as King of Atlantis and he’s got a LOT of catching up to do. Luckily, he has his two royal advisors to back him up – Vulko, the scholar, and Mera, the water-controlling warrior-princess. Between dealing with unscrupulous surface dwellers, elder evils from beyond time, and his own half-brother who wants to overthrow him, Aquaman is going to have to rise to the challenge and prove to his subjects, and himself, that he’s the right man for the throne!”

The voice cast of Aquaman: King of Atlantis features Cooper Andrews as Aquaman (The Walking Dead), Gillian Jacobs (Community) as Mera, Thomas Lennon (Reno 911) as Vulko, and Dana Snyder (Jellystone) as Orm, the Ocean Master. The miniseries are produced by DC Entertainment, Warner Bros. Animation, and James Wan’s Atomic Monster Productions. The series will stream in three parts weekly on HBO Max, beginning on October 14th, 2021.
