A New SPIDER-MAN NO WAY HOME Trailer Opens Up A Multiverse Of Villains

A new Spider-Man No Way Home trailer has been released during a live event in Sherman Oaks, California where Tom Holland made an appearance for a surprise Q&A. The trailer showed fans what villains are going to be making an appearance in the upcoming Spidey film. Doctor Octopus, Electro, Sandman, and the Green Goblin were all featured in the trailer which marks the biggest villain encounter Spider-Man has had to face alone in the MCU as of yet, alone that is. He won’t be completely without help as we saw Doctor Strange who is played by Benedict Cumberbatch deeply involved in the mix and should provide a guiding hand while Peter faces what could be his biggest challenge yet.
As Peter tries to undo the damage that Mysterio ( Jake Gyllenhaal) caused by revealing his identity in Far From Home, he enlists the help of Doctor Strange and well, as you will see in the trailer below, things don’t go according to plan and we see villains from all over the Spider-Man universe begin to appear and well it’s confirmed through Doc Ock’s line in the trailer that this is not the “Peter Parker” of their universe. The trailer is setting up an electrifying encounter (pun intended) with some of the Marvel villains we have seen in prior Spider-Man films that starred Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield both of which have said are not in the film, but we are still holding out hope that is just Marvel trying to keep things under wraps and we will get to see some triple Spidey team-up action.
No Way Home stars Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Zendaya as MJ, Jamie Foxx as Electro, J.K. Simmons and J. Jonah Jameson, Alfred Molina as Dr. Otto Octavius, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May. Jon Watts returns to direct the third entry in Hollands Spider-Man run working off a script from Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
Let’s not forget that in the post-credit scene of Venom: Let There Be Carnage we Tom Hardy‘s Venom makes his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe so it begs to question if he will be making a cameo appearance during the film, possibly lend a helping hand? Or if we will see a post-credit scene tying this all up together and possibly introducing a showdown between Spidey and Venom or a live-action Spider-Verse in the making. The possibilities are endless and they all are sure to make Marvel fans happy.
Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters on Dec. 17. Check out the second trailer for No Way Home below:
