Wynonna Earp: Vengeance – Earpers See the Return of Wynona Earp on Tubi
Wynonna Earp is set to return to television with a new 90-minute special titled Wynonna Earp: Vengeance. In an exclusive announcement via Vanity Fair, Tubi revealed that the special will catch up with Wynonna Earp (Melanie Scrofano) and other characters some time after the end of season four. This highly-anticipated special is scheduled to begin filming soon in Calgary and is set to premiere later this year on Tubi.

The series revolves around Wynonna Earp, the great-great-granddaughter of legendary lawman Wyatt Earp, who on her 27th birthday inherits the unique ability to send revenants, the resurrected souls of criminals killed by Wyatt, back to Hell. This supernatural adventure unfolds in the cursed Ghost River Triangle near the Canadian Rockies, including Purgatory, Wynonna’s hometown.
Armed with her ancestor’s magical gun, Peacemaker, Wynonna endeavors to break her family’s curse by dispatching these supernatural beings to their rightful place. Her team includes her sister Waverly Earp, portrayed by Dominique Provost-Chalkley, Doc Holliday (Tim Rozon), and Xavier Dolls (Shamier Anderson), a special agent from the secretive government agency, the Black Badge Division, which deals with paranormal threats.
The series also features Nicole Haught (Kat Barrell), a local police officer in Purgatory. Throughout its four-season run, the series garnered a devoted fanbase and critical acclaim for its storytelling, character development, and exploration of the rich history of Wyatt Earp with a supernatural twist.

After its original conclusion in 2021, the series left audiences with a blend of closure and open-ended storylines, providing future narrative opportunities, which are now coming to fruition. The finale, “Old Souls,” delivered emotional resolutions and tied up key plot points.
Wynonna embraced her role as the heir, opting to seek purpose beyond demon-slaying. She also reconciled with her love interest, Doc, as they decided to depart Purgatory to embark on a new life together. Meanwhile, Waverly embraced her identity as an Earp, harnessing her own power. She and Nicole Haught shared a heartfelt wedding ceremony, with Nicole assuming the role of the guardian of the Ghost River Triangle.
