The Dreadful: Upcoming Gothic Horror Film Reunites Sophie Turner and Kit Harington
A Game of Thrones reunion is set to unfold in The Dreadful, an upcoming Gothic horror film that will feature Sophie Turner and Kit Harington, known for their iconic roles as Sansa Stark and Jon Snow in the widely celebrated HBO series.
Director Natasha Kermani, known for her previous works such as Lucky and the segment “TKNOGD” in V/H/S/85, will now steer the ship for The Dreadful as she is tapped to helm and write the film, tapping into the civil wars over the English throne.

The storyline of The Dreadful takes place against the backdrop of the War of the Roses, with Turner taking on the role of Anne, a reclusive woman residing with her mother-in-law on the fringes of society. Harington, on the other hand, will portray a figure from their past, whose entrance into Anne’s life promises unexpected and transformative developments.
The production will be shepherded by Luke Daniels, Patrick Muldoon, and Patrick Hibler. While specific plot details remain under wraps, the involvement and reunion of Turner and Harrington have certainly piqued our interest as more information is sure to come as the film begins production.

In their respective roles in Game of Thrones, Turner and Harington captivated audiences from the series’ inception to its grand finale, leaving an indelible mark with their portrayals of members of the beloved House Stark.
Sansa Stark navigated the treacherous political landscape of Westeros, including an ill-fated marriage to Joffrey Baratheon, while Jon Snow’s journey as a member of the Night’s Watch unfolded in parallel, culminating in a poignant romantic entanglement with Daenerys Targaryen and leading into one of the most controversial moments in the series that is still talked about today.
Following the conclusion of Game of Thrones, Kit Harington assumed the role of Dane Whitman in Eternals making his mark on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, depicting the immortal guardians who have witnessed humanity’s evolution across centuries. Sophie Turner delved into diverse projects, including her portrayal of Erica in Do Revenge, a comedic exploration of teenage ostracization.
