uWu Con Day three.
The final day of the con is always so bittersweet.
No one knows what to expect. But it was one amazing day. This day was still stacked with talent, from Japanese voice actors, (Ryo Horikawa and Nobutoshi Cama) to Keith Silverstein, Ricco Fajardo, and David Sobolov. To close out the weekend Geek Network also hosted the Jim Cummings panel as well. And once again everyone cosplaying was on point.


When it comes to the last day of a con, it will always break your heart. But good memories were had at this con, from last-minute deals to still even the food. The vendors really were a pleasure to talk to as well. The vendors did talk about how they honed their craft and made everything possible for uWu Con.
uWu Con panels closed with a spectacular talk featuring the legendary voice actor Jim Cummings. Known for breathing life into iconic characters such as Winnie the Pooh and Darkwing Duck. Cummings mesmerized the audience with a symphony of voices, offering glimpses into the magic behind the microphone. Beyond the entertainment, he shared insights into his illustrious career, leaving fans with hopeful anticipation for the return of Darkwing Duck.
Jim Cummings treated the packed room to a sonic journey through his extensive repertoire, effortlessly shifting from the honey-loving Winnie the Pooh to the crime-fighting Darkwing Duck and an array of other beloved characters. Attendees were treated to a live performance that showcased Cummings’ unparalleled talent and versatility, leaving everyone in awe of his ability to seamlessly transition between characters.
Delving into the roots of his career, Cummings shared anecdotes about his humble beginnings in the industry. From the early days of voicing characters in small productions to becoming the voice behind some of the most iconic animated figures, the journey was both inspiring and relatable for aspiring voice actors in the audience. Cummings shared that as a child he was the kid that would often get in trouble for making silly voices and impressions. Once he realized he could make a living from his silly voices he knew that was what he wanted to do in life.
One of the most exciting moments of the panel was when Cummings hinted at the possibility of seeing Darkwing Duck in action once again. With a twinkle in his eye, he discussed the potential for the beloved character’s return, sparking enthusiasm and speculation among fans. While details remained scarce, the mere suggestion left the audience buzzing with excitement and anticipation.

The panel wasn’t just a showcase of talent; it was an interactive experience. Cummings took time to engage with fans, answering questions and sharing behind-the-scenes stories. Attendees were treated not only to a performance but also to a glimpse into the person behind the voices they’ve grown to love.

Finally, none of this could have been done without the amazing Preston Statzer. He deserves all the thanks for putting this convention together, also you can’t forget the amazing uWuCon staff, they also put in a ton of hard work. Year three is coming, and this is shaping up to be one of the top conventions here in the Southwest!
