Amazon has released the final trailer for the upcoming sci-fi action film The Tomorrow War starring Chris Pratt. The film is directed by Chris McKay in his first live-action feature, from a script by Zach Dean.
Pratt is joined in the cast by J.K. Simmons, Yvonne Strahovski, and Betty Gilpin, as well as Sam Richardson, Theo Von, Jasmine Matthews, Keith Powers, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Edwin Hodge, Mike Mitchell, Seychelle Gabriel, Alan Trong, Chibuikem Uche, and Alexis Louder.
Here’s the synopsis:
In The Tomorrow War, the world is stunned when a group of time travelers arrive from the year 2051 to deliver an urgent message: Thirty years in the future mankind is losing a global war against a deadly alien species. The only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians from the present to be transported to the future and join the fight. Among those recruited is high school teacher and family man Dan Forester (Chris Pratt). Determined to save the world for his young daughter, Dan teams up with a brilliant scientist (Yvonne Strahovski) and his estranged father (J.K. Simmons) in a desperate quest to rewrite the fate of the planet.
I do love me a good sci-fi film and with Pratt being our on screen space Avenger in the MCU, seeing him in a movie of this caliber just seems natural. The quality of this movie seems worthy of the big screen, but as the pandemic has continued, some films have made their way to streaming services. Looks like we will be getting this action packed sci-fi goodness at home, but be sure to check out the trailer, and watch The Tomorrow War on Amazon Prime on July 2nd.
