The Children of the Corn Trailer Reveals a New and More Terrifying Take on the Stephen King Classic
The new The Children of the Corntrailer is here and has given us a terrifying look at the upcoming adaptation of the Stephen King classic. The film has been in the works since 2020 and saw a theatrical release that year. It was previously taken to AMC‘s Shudder streaming streaming service where it will be available to subscribers but before it heads to its new home, the film will see an 18-day theater release next month.

“In CHILDREN OF THE CORN, possessed by a spirit in a dying cornfield, a twelve-year-old girl in Nebraska recruits the other children in her small town to go on a bloody rampage and kill all the adults and anyone else who opposes her. A bright high schooler who won’t go along with the plan is the town’s only hope of survival.”
The red band trailer gives us a good glimpse at how dark and sinister the film which looks to up the ante of the previous adaptation of King’s story. As the trailer warns potential viewers to prepare to “witness the rise of the next generation of evil.” the trailer shows the young children overtaking their elders. The film takes place in Nebraska and follows a 12-year-old girl who is possessed by a spirit. As her recruitment of other children begins, one teenager who isn’t under their possession is the town’s hope of survival.
The film is helmed by Kurt Wimmer and stars Elena Kampouris, Kate Moyer, Callan Mulvey, Bruce Spence, Stephen Hunter, Erika Heynatz, Anna Samson, Sisi Stringer, Andrew S. Gilbert, and more. The film is produced by John Baldecchi, Lucas Foster, and Doug Barry.
The Children of the Corn remake will arrive in theaters on March 3, 2023, and will be available on digital on March 21, 2023.
