The Bat-Man: First Knight Marks Dan Jurgen’s DC Black Label Debut
DC Comics has announced a new comic series, titled The Bat-Man: First Knight, which will be published under the DC Black Label imprint. This three-issue series, written by the renowned Dan Jurgens (known for his work on Superman and Action Comics), features art by Mike Perkins (known for his work on The Swamp Thing, Action Comics, and Tales From the Dark Multiverse).
Jurgens and Perkins have come together to bring fans a unique Batman story, combining elements from some of The Dark Knight’s earliest cases with a modern twist.

It is the year 1939. The world is still recovering from the horrors of World War I, as the specter of an even more gruesome conflict looms on the horizon. Fascism is gaining strength, even in the darkest corners of America.
Against this backdrop, Gotham City becomes the stage for a series of violent murders that shakes the city to its core. Adding to the chaos is the emergence of the enigmatic vigilante known as The Bat-Man. The city’s power players find themselves living in fear of the potential collapse of their institutions.

The murder investigation takes a perplexing turn as all evidence defies logic: the culprits are all men who have previously met their end in the electric chair. When The Bat-Man confronts one of these grotesque anomalies, his own survival is jeopardized, raising doubts about his ability to thrive in a world that is evolving ruthlessly around him.
Prepare to be spellbound by this thrilling journey into the early days of Batman’s crime-fighting career when The Bat-Man: First Knight #1 arrives at your favorite local comic book shop on March 5, 2024.
