Sympathy for the Devil: Nicolas Cage and Joel Kinnaman to Star in Thriller Film
Nicolas Cage and Joel Kinnaman are set to star in the upcoming thriller film Sympathy for the Devil. The psychological thriller sees Kinnaman cross paths with a mysterious passenger (Cage) which leads to a possibly horrific event with everything not being as clear as it may seem. The film is directed by Yuval Adler from a script written by Luke Paradise with production currently ongoing in Las Vegas.
The film’s logline reads:
“A driver finds himself in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse after being forced to drive a mysterious man, “The Passenger.” As their white-knuckle ride progresses, it becomes clear that not everything is as it seems.”
The film is produced by P. Jennifer Dana, Tracy Falco, Mark Roberts, and Allan Ungar. Ungar recently praised the casting for the film calling it the “perfect casting.” Kinnaman and Cage are no strangers to thrillers and both have a more than respectable resume under their belts with Kinnaman having had roles in The Suicide Squad, The Killing, and The Informer. Cage boasts acting credits that include classic action films along with indie gems such as Face/Off, The Rock, Pig, Mandy, Color out of Space, and Willy’s Wonderland.
Sympathy for the Devil is set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival where it will be introduced to potential buyers by Capstone Global. Stay tuned as more information on where it will be released to the public is available.
