Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Gameplay Trailer Reveals a Stronger and More Badass Cal Kestis
Ea unveiled the first gameplay trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor at The Game Awards. Even with a quiet development process, a leak earlier in the week tipped off players that they would be getting their hands on the highly-anticipated sequel in early 2023. The trailer showed off gameplay true to its predecessor along with some new tricks up its sleeve but something we can all agree on is that the force is strong with this sequel. Cameron Monaghan, who voices Cal Kestis and whose likeness was also used for the character design also appeared at the event to hype fans up for the Fallen Order sequel.
The trailer shows that players will jump back into the Star Wars universe five years after the events of Fallen Order. We get a glimpse of a grizzled Cal Kestis, who also seems to have honed his Jedi powers as he presents himself as a better-skilled and stronger Jedi. We also see the return of the beloved droid BD-1 and Cere Junda along with a new face in Bode Akuna. The trailer then takes players into an action-packed cut of the gameplay that features familiar and new features including grapple guns, mounts, and new abilities that Cal will have at his disposal with his stronger force powers and even dual-wielding lightsabers!
The game is certainly living up to the hype as we also get a closer glimpse at the mysterious character in the bacta tank. His identity is still a mystery and whether he is a friend or foe, we still haven’t figured that out but answers are upon us as the game is only a few months away. The many questions brought about will be answered and players will undoubtedly enjoy being thrown back into the visually stunning world Respawn has created for another epic journey in Cal’s series.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will release on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC on March 17, 2023.
