Silent Night Trailer is Packed with Dialogue-Free Bloody Revenge
Lionsgate has released the Silent Night trailer showcasing the dialogue-free action film setting the focus on a father (Joel Kinnaman) out for bloody revenge. Directed by the legendary John Woo, this holiday-themed flick promises to be a thrilling and action-packed ride.
The film centers around a grieving father who is haunted by the tragic death of his young son. Consumed by grief, he becomes driven by an insatiable desire for revenge against the individuals responsible for his son’s murder. All while being rendered voiceless on his path for revenge.

From the outset, the trailer captivates viewers with its intense action sequences and exhilarating soundtrack. The iconic song Ode to Joy serves as the backdrop as the protagonist embarks on his relentless quest for justice. Kinnaman’s character employs a variety of tactics to eliminate the gangster, ranging from high-speed car chases to up-close and personal confrontations in their own lairs. He strategically employs homemade explosives and showcases his impressive marksmanship.
Silent Night delves into themes of grief and loss, the trailer hints at a visually stunning and adrenaline-fueled experience. The violence depicted is delivered with Woo’s signature stylish flair, promising a thrilling and cathartic cinematic journey that will allow Kinnaman to shine through his actions rather than dialogue. This is Woo, after all, so expect some of his methodic action work.

The action-sequence genius and talent of Kinnaman should make for a good pairing on a unique take for an action film. It sounds odd to have a film with no dialogue, but a recent personal favorite film of mine, Willy’s Wonderland featured Nicolas Cage in a role with absolutely no lines, and as strange as it could’ve been it made for a layer of intrigue into the character as he fought off killer animatronic robots.
Silent Night will be available in theaters on December 1, 2023. Check out the trailer below:
