Check out the synopsis for Shrinking below:
“Shrinking” follows a grieving therapist (played by Segel) who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives … including his own.
Starring alongside Ford and Segel will be Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Michael Urie, Luke Tennie, and Lukita Maxwell. The teaser trailer is not much more than that as we only get to see the characters in the series jumping on a trampoline with different facial expressions and the phrase reading, ” Sometimes you have to break down to have a breakthrough.”
Segel is the series creator and executive producer of the series alongside Bill Lawrence. Lawrence is the co-creator of the Emmy Award-winning series Ted Lasso. Joining Segel and Lawrence will be Ted Lasso star, writer, and co-executive producer Brett Goldstein. The three also wrote the first episode of Shrinking which was helmed by James Ponsoldt, who also serves as executive producer. Joining the list of executive producers will also be Randall Winston, Neil Goldman, Jeff Ingold, and Liza Katzer.
Shrinking will premiere exclusively on Apple TV+ on January 27, 2023, with a 2 episode premiere and new episodes released weekly.
