Cocaine Bear Trailer Reveals the Insanity of an Apex Predator High on Cocaine
Universal‘s upcoming dark comedy film Cocaine Bear just released a new poster giving fans their first look at the wild film coming our way. Now, just a day later, the studio has unleashed the first trailer showing the insanity that will ensue when a bear gets his paws on cocaine dumped from a drug smuggler’s plane.
The film is by actress and director Elizabeth Banks who will helm the film. She is renowned for her work in comedy and although we weren’t sure of the exact tone the film would bring but after experiencing the trailer that ran over 2 minutes, we now know that we will be laughing and cringing as we experience this film based on a true story in absolute disbelief.
The film’s synopsis reads:
“Inspired by the 1985 true story of a drug runner’s plane crash, missing cocaine, and the black bear that ate it, this wild dark comedy finds an oddball group of cops, criminals, tourists and teens converging in a Georgia forest where a 500- pound apex predator has ingested a staggering amount of cocaine and gone on a coke-fueled rampage for more blow … and blood.”
The film stars Keri Russell, Margo Martindale, Ray Liotta, Alden Ehrenreich, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Kristofer Kivju, Kahyun Kim, Brooklynn Prince, Christian Convery, and Scott Seiss. Banks, Max Handelman, Aditya Sood, and Brian Duffield produced the film with Robin Fisichellaexecutive producing.
Cocaine Bear will release in theaters on February 24, 2023.
