Ronda Rousey Fined and Suspended For Attack on WWE Official At SummerSlam
WWEsuperstar Ronda Rousey has been fined and suspended following her actions at SummerSlam. The annual special event took place on July 30th, 2022, and Rousey was scheduled to compete against the SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan. The match ended in a controversial finish that ended with Morgan tapping out a second before the WWE official gave Morgan the win on a three count due to Rousey’s shoulders being down on the mat.
It was a match that saw Rousey completely dominate Morgan who would not stay down and continued to find ways out of Rousey’s signature submissions that have put down many of the other WWE Superstars. The controversial finish immediately caused Rousey to show her frustration and she lashed out on Morgan. When the WWE official tried to intervene, she attacked the official which has led to her fine and suspension. Due to the suspension, she will not appear on Friday Night Smackdown.
Rousey took to social media to voice her continued frustration which she said the following:
“Hey @wwe if you guys could stop screwing me to put over your golden girls at every major ppv that’d be greaaaaaat”
Rousey has been a powerhouse since signing with the WWE which has been the energy she brings to sports even prior to her career at WWE as her list of accomplishments also extends to MMA where earned accolades in Judo and was champion at UFC as well as an inductee into the UFC Hall of Fame. At WWE, she has been a Royal Rumble winner, Smackdown Women’s Champion, and Raw Women’s Champion. Although this is sure to put a short stall on her time at WWE, I would not count out the baddest woman on the planet just yet.
