Reviewed by Weird – Futurama Season 11
Good news everyone! Finally, in just a few more days, we will get to see brand new episodes of a show that no matter how many times you try and take it out, it just keeps coming back! That’s right kids, Futurama is back!!!
Starting July 24th, Planet Express will be back in business in Futurama Season 11, and they are bringing all of our favorite characters with them! Philip J. Fry, Leela, Dr. Zoidberg, The Professor, Hermes Conrad, Bender, and everyone else are coming back for another round of shenanigans and mischief!
In case you haven’t seen it already, here’s the premise for Futurama Season 11:
After a brief ten-year hiatus, Futurama has crawled triumphantly from the cryogenic tube, its full original cast and satirical spirit intact. The ten all-new episodes of season eleven have something for everyone.
New viewers will be able to pick up the series from here, while long-time fans will recognize payoffs to decades-long mysteries – including developments in the epic love story of Fry and Leela, the mysterious contents of Nibbler’s litter box, the secret history of evil Robot Santa, and the whereabouts of Kif and Amy’s tadpoles. Meanwhile there’s a whole new pandemic in town as the crew explores the future of vaccines, bitcoin, cancel culture, and streaming TV.
I was fortunate enough to catch the first six episodes and let me tell you, it’s like they never left. This is a great jumping-on point for new fans, and for older fans, there are plenty of references to stories from the previous seasons. There are also a lot of great new stories in this new season, covering topics including COVID-19, vaccines, Amazon’s Alexa, manscaping, streaming, and cryptocurrency.

This new season is shaping up to be one of the best ones yet! John DiMaggio returns as Bender and is joined by Billy West, Tress MacNeille, Katey Sagal, Lauren Tom, Maurice LaMarche, Phil LaMarr, and David Herman. Make sure you tune into Hulu on July 24th to see for yourself! And as Bender would say, ” We’re back baby!!!”

A jack of many trades, but a master of none, Chris dabbles in many nerdy hobbies including toy collecting, reading comics, writing fiction, reading novels, and playing video games. He’s also a huge wrestling fan, and knows more about it than most normal people should.
When he’s not writing or hosting podcasts for Geek Network, he can be found listening to podcasts and hanging out with his wife, his two daughters, and his little dog Gertie.
