Dark Horse Comics and Kevin Smith Return to the Askewniverse with Quick Stops II

Dark Horse Comics and acclaimed director/actor/podcaster/author Kevin Smith are joining forces once again to bring fans back to the beloved Askewniverse with the black-and-white anthology series, Quick Stops II. This highly anticipated four-issue series will delve into the captivating universe of Smith’s creation.

In this second volume, a young podcaster sets out on a quest to uncover the origins of Mooby, a cherished bovine creation by Nancy Goldruff, the renowned Mooby creator. Little does she know that her quest for answers will lead her down a path so astonishingly surprising that it will leave her mind utterly blown.

Unlike the previous Quick Stops miniseries, Quick Stops II will feature a single, expansive storyline spanning several decades.

Smith explains:

“We wanted to take the essence of the Askewniverse to new heights in this series. By dedicating four issues to the tale of Mooby, the Golden Calf, we were able to explore a gritty, graphic, and grown-up narrative that will captivate readers. Prepare to be introduced to Nancy Goldruff, a character who was only briefly mentioned in 1999’s ‘DOGMA,’ but now receives a full-fledged secret origin story in ‘Quick Stops II!'”

The creative team behind”Quick Stops II is nothing short of exceptional with Ahmed Raafat providing the illustrations and Andrew Thomas handling the lettering duties. The first issue of the series will feature covers by Nate Gonzalez, Chogrin, and Raafat, who will also provide a Secret Stash exclusive variant cover.
