Quick Stops: Secret Stash Press and Dark Horse Expand Askewniverse With New Anthology Series
Dark Horse Comics has announced a new anthology series from Secret Stash Press titled Quick Stops. The series will follow in the footsteps of the highly-anticipated sequel film CLERKS III and will present readers with an expansive look into the Askewniverse with the new ongoing series of anthology stories that will be written by Kevin Smith as he teams up with a rotation of talented artists. The premiere issue will feature art from Jeremy Simser and letters by Andrew Thomas.
Dark Horse Comics‘ description of Quick Stops #1 reads:
“In the premiere issue of Quick Stops, Chronic-Con guest of honor Holden McNeil tells Chasing Amy’s Alyssa Jones and a packed Chronic-Con crowd his story of going green with legendary loiterers Jay and Silent Bob in the Quick Stop cooler – and how it directly led to the birth of his Bluntman and Chronic comic books!”
Smith shares in the press release the chance he and Jason Mewes will have to look forever young than to the series, saying:
“Quick Stops is where I finally get to tell tales from across the Askewniverse that I’ve always wanted to write! And even though Jason Mewes and I keep getting older in real life, in the pages of Quick Stops, our rotating roster of amazing artists will keep us both looking forever 90’s young! This has been the most fun I’ve had writing in my life because all these characters mean so much to me! I can’t wait to reach 100 issues one day! But for now, I’ll settle for Issue #1!”
Quick Stop #1 will be available at your favorite local comic shop and digitally on November 2nd, 2022. Check out the heroic cover by artist John Sprengelmeyer below:
