Overwatch: New Blood #3 – Cole Cassidy Crosses Paths with a Mysterious Stranger in New Preview

Dark Horse Comics has released a new preview of Overwatch: New Blood #3. The preview catches up with Cole Cassidy as he notices a tail in Romania. This leads to Cassidy crossing paths with a mysterious stranger. Are they friend or foe? With Cassidy in the enemy’s crosshairs, Cassidy may have no choice but to trust this man.

Written by Ray Fawkes with art by Irene Koh, and colors by Mariel Rodriguez, the third issue of the five-issue limited series continues to unravel a new adventure for Cole Cassidy, a prominent character in Blizzard‘s Overwatch. The issue will feature a variant cover by artist Taurin Clarke.

Dark Horse‘s description of Overwatch: New Blood #3 reads:

“With chaos and devastation rife around the world, Cole Cassidy receives the call to rejoin Overwatch . . . but memories of its fall still haunt him. After an unexpected reunion with an old friend, Cassidy considers that maybe Overwatch needs more than the old crew to give it new life.”

Originally released as a digital series, the physical print of the hit series follows Cole Cassidy as he is pulled back into the ranks of Overwatch. Still reeling from its fall, he ventures out to recruit new members to Overwatch as he continues to be haunted by his past. The series was created in collaboration with Blizzard Entertainment and is adapted from the universe of Overwatch, the popular first-person shooter that features an array of heroes and villains.

The multiplayer game has become quite the staple in the gaming community. With the highly-anticipated sequel Overwatch 2 due out this month, this is the perfect way to get immersed into the expanding universe of Overwatch.

Overwatch: New Blood #3 will be available at your favorite local comic shop and digitally on September 14th, 2022.
