Prime Video Shares Fallout Series First Images

Prime Video‘s upcoming Fallout series adaptation is generating excitement with the release of its first set of images. The series aims to bring the post-apocalyptic video game franchise to life with a star-studded cast, including Walton Goggins and Ella Purnell.

The released images showcase the two leads, with Goggins portraying a ghoul and Purnell as a survivor from Vault-Tec’s underground shelters. Purnell’s character is depicted both within the confines of Vault 33, working with technology under the supervision of the vault’s overseer, Hank (played by Kyle MacLachlan), and venturing outside into the wasteland for the first time in a long while.

Described as an optimistic and direct woman, Purnell’s character exudes confidence with her firearm and donning the iconic Pip-Boy.

In addition to the main characters, the images feature the Brotherhood of Steel, an influential paramilitary group known for preserving advanced technology. The iconic faction makes an appearance with their Vertibirds and Power Armor ensuring one of the most notable factions in the video game franchise will play a significant role in the adaptation.

Aaron Moten joins the cast as Maximus, potentially linked to the Brotherhood’s Dagger Squad from the Fallout spinoff, Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel. Lastly, Goggins portrays an intimidating ghoul gunslinger with a burnt-off face and a stylish hat, adding to the series’ allure.

The cast also includes Moisés Arias, Sarita Choudhury, Michael Emerson, Leslie Uggams, Frances Turner, Dave Register, Zach Cherry, Johnny Pemberton, Rodrigo Luzzi, Annabel O’Hagan, and Xelia Mendes-Jones.

Fans of the Fallout series can look forward to the adaptation aiming to maintain the beloved 1950s retrofuturistic aesthetic that has become synonymous with the games. Led by writers and executive producers Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan, who executive produced alongside Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner. Dworet and Wagner will also serve as showrunners on the series.

The series had the assistance of Bethesda, including Todd Howard, the president of the game developer, and Tim Cain, the co-creator of the original Fallout game who also served as executive producers and were involved in the production of the series.

Fallout will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on April 12, 2024.
