Amazon‘s FalloutTV show, based on the popular post-apocalyptic open-world RPG developed by Bethesda, has announced its release date. The news came via a tweet from the official Fallout Twitter account on October 23rd which is also known as Fallout Day among fans. The series, which will be a live-action adaptation of the game, is set to premiere on Prime Video on April 12, 2024.
Todd Howard, who is the game director and executive producer at Bethesda will serve as executive producer on the Fallout TV series. The series also boasts an impressive cast, including Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, Aaron Moten, Moisés Arias, Kyle MacLachlan, and Sarita Choudhury. Fans got a sneak peek of the show at Gamescom 2023, but the teaser has yet to be released publicly.
Amazon declared that the show will be a canonical addition to the game franchise. While specific details such as the number of episodes and release schedule are yet to be unveiled, fans eagerly await the premiere, which was playfully announced through an interactive Pip-Boy interface graphic. From leaked set photos, it seems that the production designers are staying true to Bethesda’s original designs, which will surely please fans of the game. With the release date now revealed and only months away, anticipation for the series is sure to grow, and we can expect to see more information and likely a trailer in the coming months.
