Prime Video’s Gen V is Getting A Second Season

Prime Video announced that The Boys spinoff series, Gen V, is getting a second season. The first season of Gen V is currently airing its eight-episode first season, and its finale is set for November 3rd. But now, fans won’t have to worry about the fate of our new favorite Supes, as Prime has shown that it believes in the new series by ordering a second season.

Gen V expands the universe of The Boys by introducing Godolkin University, which aims to train the next generation of heroes. However, in typical fashion for The Boys, viewers can still expect wild powers, corporate conspiracies, and an abundance of gore.

The cast of Gen V includes Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Marco Pigossi. Additionally, the first season saw the return of several familiar faces from The Boys, including Jessie T. Usher, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and P.J. Byrne. Jensen Ackles also made an appearance as Soldier Boy.

The flagship series that jumpstarted this small screen universe is still awaiting a premiere date for its fourth season. While The Boys Season 4 was renewed shortly after the premiere of its third season in June 2022, fans are eagerly awaiting an official release date for the highly anticipated fourth season. Stay tuned for more updates on this thrilling superhero series.

Gen V is Getting A Second Season

With the Gen V finale quickly approaching and the confirmation of a second season. We can expect the world of Gen V and The Boys to cross into one another in some aspects. We have already seen this with some cameos and appearances of familiar characters but Gen V has also been said to serve as a handoff into The Boys Season 4 as reported by EW who spoke with showrunner Eric Kripke.

Both series have shown the same level of antics and insanity with Gen V coming out of the gate with people unfairly not being hyped for this series and it has clearly won us all over ahead of its premiere on the back of the creatives crafting this small corner of The Boys and the immense young talent they brought into the series to bring these Supes to life.
