Universal Pictures has acquired the rights to a new book titled The Premonition: A Pandemic Story, which will be about the early days of COVID-19.
Phil Lord and Chris Miller are set to direct and produce the film. Best known for their work on comedies, the duo is now taking on a new type of project. Amy Pascal is also set to produce. The film is currently on the hunt for someone to script the film.
There has been previous projects that have touched on the pandemic, and it has also played a role in the plot line of some TV series that have aired since the COVID-19 pandemic took the world by storm. It certainly is intriguing to see the perspective of the early days of the pandemic from others eyes, but in my honest opinion, for the most part, we are all still very much living in the pandemic and revisiting this again does not sound very appealing.
