Marvel Kicks Off Phase 2 of Star Wars: The High Republic With Two New Series
Marvel Comics has announced the next phase of Star Wars: The High Republic with two new series launching later this year. The two new series announced are titled Star Wars: The High Republic and Star Wars: The High Republic – The Blade. The new series, The High Republic will see writer Cavan Scott team up with artist Ario Anindito once again after their hit collaboration on Volume 1.
Marvel Comics’ description of Star Wars: The High Republic reads:
“Set 150 years before Phase 1, Phase II of Star Wars: The High Republic will center around Jedha, a planet rich in its connection to the Force and the focus of every major faith in the galaxy. The new flagship STAR WARS: THE HIGH REPUBLIC comic series will introduce Jedi Vildar Mac, who arrives as Jedha’s fragile peace begins to crumble and a nameless terror arrives…”
Star Wars: The High Republic – The Blade will see the mastermind behind The High Republic, Charles Soule team up with artist Marco Castiello for a four-issue limited series exploring the backstory of Porter Engle who is a Jedi-turned-cook who also goes by the name, Blade of Bardotta.
Star Wars: The High Republic #1 will be available at your favorite local comic shop and digitally in October with Star Wars: The High Republic – The Blade #1 releasing the following month in November. Check out the cover reveals below:
