Pet Sematary: Bloodlines Releases First Images, Release Date, and Poster
Paramount+ just released the Pet Sematary: Bloodlines first images, poster, and release date for the new horror prequel based on Stephen King‘s classic horror story. The movie is set to be released later this year and the images show off some of the characters from the story played by Henry Thomas, Pam Grier, and Forrest Goodluck.
The first-look photos capture the sinister and uneasy feelings that the film has invoked upon fans for years with many adaptations and sequels under its belt, it is one of King’s most popular and renowned series. The images give us a look at the characters in the prequel film as well as the rabid undead animals we are sure to see in the film. You can’t count out the eerie-looking pet sematary as we get a look at that as well and it looks as creepy as ever.
The film is helmed by Lindsey Beer who goes from screenwriter to making her directorial debut with the film. Although we have seen this story adapted and told a few times now. There is a level of dubiety within the prequel film as it centers on “an untold chapter” of the story written by King.
The synopsis for Bloodlines reads:
“In 1969, a young Jud Crandall has dreams of leaving his hometown of Ludlow, Maine behind, but soon discovers sinister secrets buried within and is forced to confront a dark family history that will forever keep him connected to Ludlow. Banding together, Jud and his childhood friends must fight an ancient evil that has gripped Ludlow since its founding, and once unearthed has the power to destroy everything in its path.”
Joining Grier, Thomas, and Goodluck in the film will be Isabella Star LeBlanc, Jackson White, David Duchovny, Jack Mulhern, and Natalie Alyn Lind. Breer also wrote the script alongside Jeff Buhler with Mark Vahradian and Lorenzo di Bonaventura producing.
