The spiritual successor for Left 4 Dead hailing from Turtle Rock Studios seems to be quite the hit with Back 4 Blood having reached an iconic number of players within its first month of launch.

With some of the team that brought the Left 4 Dead franchise to life, the game was dubbed its spiritual successor due to its uncanny similarities while still giving us a fresh experience of zombie slaying action as players are taken from safe room to safe room, cleaning up the RIdden. There are many kinds of Ridden, and in true L4D fashion, it’s broken up into your regular infected and special infected that combine to make your progress to the next chapter a literal living hell. Seems players aren’t minding the messy, gory non-stop action though as the devs announced:

“Thanks for all your hard work, Cleaners! With this many Cleaners on our side, we’ll stop the Ridden in no time.”

With 6 million players having logged in to clean up the Ridden, looks like there’s still plenty for the rest of us as more and more players take up the challenge, and whether you are new to the franchise, or an L4D veteran, the co-op fun is there for all to enjoy.

Back 4 Blood is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC and is also available via the Xbox Game Pass.
