Oni Press to Publish Hit Webtoon Series SubZero Vol. 1
Oni Press has exciting news for fans of the hit Webtoon series SubZero by debut creator Junepurrr. The acclaimed romance fantasy epic, which has garnered over 375 million reads and three million subscribers on Webtoon, will now be brought to a whole new level with its first-ever print publication.

In SubZero, Princess Clove, the last heir of her Cerulean Dragon clan, faces a monumental decision—to marry her greatest enemy, Prince Kyro of the Crimson Empire, in order to save her people from the ongoing war.
As the fragile peace forged by their marriage is threatened by those who seek to perpetuate the conflict, Clove finds herself navigating a world of enemies while grappling with a growing attraction to Kyro.

Junepurrr, the talented creator behind SubZero, described the series as a “love letter to fantasy stories, palace dramas and romance,” sharing that it was born as an escape during a challenging period in her life. With themes of duty, sacrifice, and inner strength, the story invites readers to explore a world where fantastical Dragon powers intersect with complex emotions and relationships.
Senior Editor Grace Scheipeter of Oni Press expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming release, highlighting the fusion of dragons, love, danger, and magic in this action-packed romance fantasy graphic novel.
She described SubZero as a captivating read for fans of series such as Lore Olympus, Fourth Wing, A Court of Thorns and Roses, and My Dear Cold-Blooded King, teasing that the first volume will deliver an enemies-to-lovers romance brimming with tension and allure.

SubZero Vol. 1 will gather episodes 0–25 of the Webtoon, offering readers the chance to delve into the captivating world of Princess Clove and Prince Kyro. This collection will also feature exclusive, never-before-published back matter material, providing even more depth to the beloved series.
Stay tuned for the arrival of SubZero Vol. 1 at your favorite local comic shops and bookstores on September 25, 2024.
