“My beautiful, smart, fierce, incredibly talented, and loving sister-in-law, Nicki Aycox Raab, passed away yesterday with my brother, Matt Raab, by her side. Nicki and Matt had a wonderful life together in California. She was definitely a fighter and everyone who knew loved her.”
Supernatural creator who is also behind Prime Video‘s The Boys released a statement in remembrance of Aycox, saying:
“Gutted to hear the great #NickiAycox, our first #MegMasters, passed away,” Kripke wrote, “Too young. She was a delight & delivered lines like honey & venom. I marvel at how she made a simple word like ‘lackluster’ legendary.”
Having taken part in many roles for some of our favorite series dating back to her debut in a 1996 episode of Weird Science. She appeared in fan-favorite series Boy Meets World, 3rd Rock From the Sun, The X-Files, and L.A. Heat. She went on to make her film debut in 1997 in the film Defying Gravity along with other films she would later go on to star in including Crime and Punishment in Suburbia, Dead Birds, Jeepers Creepers 2, and The Girl on the Train.
She was widely known for her phenomenal portrayal of Meg Masters on the CW‘s Supernatural which starred Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki. She would continue to play the role of Meg through the first four seasons of the series in a recurring role.
During this time, we offer our condolences to Aycox’s family, friends, loved ones, and the entire fandom.
