New Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Trailer Unleashed at NYCC

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is an upcoming Godzilla series that will be available on Apple TV+. Recently, a new trailer was revealed at New York Comic Con, providing more insight into the plot and the mysteries that the characters will be uncovering. During the NYCC panel, Apple TV+ showcased the second look at the series, with the footage alluding to the events of the 2014 Godzilla film. The aftermath of those events leads two siblings to delve deeper into their family history.

The trailer introduced the organization known as Monarch, which is depicted with a militia-type unit and a strong inclination to keep information under wraps. The show will feature two different time periods: the 1950s and half a century later. The trailer offers glimpses of both settings, setting the tone for an exploration of the secret Monarch organization and the emergence of monsters. The trailer features a scene showing the birth of multiple Godzilla-like babies and provides brief glimpses of other monsters and titans, including a giant spider.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters was announced more than a year ago and is the second TV series in the MonsterVerse, following the Netflix series Kong: Skull Island. The casting of father and son duo Wyatt and Kurt Russell has also grabbed attention, as they will be portraying younger and older versions of Army officer Lee Shaw in the respective time periods.

Lastly, Apple TV+ unveiled a new poster for the series. Mark your calendars, as the first two episodes of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters are set to premiere exclusively on Apple TV+ on November 17. Check out the trailer and poster below:
