New-Gen Update Revealed for Fallout 4
Bethesda has announced that Fallout 4 will be getting the new-gen treatment next year. As part of the Fallout 25th anniversary, Fallout 4‘s new-gen update will be coming to current consoles including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
With performance upgrades that will allow for “performance mode” which will include higher frame rates, resolution upgrades for 4K gameplay, and more content to their Creation Club. The game will also have bug fixes addressed for the updated Fallout 4 coming in 2023.
Along with the announcement of Fallout 4 going next-gen. Bethesda also revealed in the blog post that they will be holding limited-time events to celebrate the holidays. They will be bringing back Spooky Scorched‘s Halloween event to Fallout 76 which will run until November 8, 2022.
The blog post reads:
“Each day from October 25 to November 8, players can visit the Atomic Shop for a free daily item. These free goodies range from handy consumables for your next sojourn through Appalachia to brand-new items, so be sure to check into the Store each day to see what’s available.”
With rewards in the Atomic Shop and also through completion of special challenges, the Fallout 25th Anniversay will be giving fans an opportunity to get into the holiday spirit while Prime Gaming subscribers also get to scoop up a special 25th Anniversary Bundle for Fallout 76 starting on November 2, 2022.
