Nacon Developing Open-World Terminator Survival Game
Nacon has revealed that they are developing an open-world Terminator survival game. The announcement was made at the Nacon Connect 2022 showcase in which the studio stated that the currently unnamed video game would be set between the events of Judgment Day and the formation of the resistance by John Connor. For those unfamiliar with Terminator, Judgment Day is the apocalyptic event in which Skynet becomes self-aware and leads to a nuclear strike that devastates the entire planet.
John Connor’s resistance takes place years later which proves to be a resilient force in Skynet’s efforts which leads to Skynet sending assassins or Terminators back in time to assassinate John’s mother and John himself at different points in time. It’s quite a a complicated and convoluted plot and timeline but how deep the game will go into the plot of the film franchise is unknown.
The game is set to feature an original that will pull from the events of the films. gameplay was not revealed but a short teaser does show the iconic T-800 on the hunt with the theme song we all know and fear is enough to get both fans of films and prior video game entries in the Terminator universe hyped.
The untitled Terminator survival project from Nacon Studio Milan does not have a release date or more information at this time but stay tuned as more information becomes available. Check out the short teaser below:
