RoboCop: Rogue City Gameplay Trailer Reveals Players Will Clean Up the Streets as Peter Waller’s Alex Murphy
Naconand MGM have released their first gameplay for RoboCop: Rogue City. The upcoming first-person shooter is based on the original 1987 film but will feature an original story and the studio has now also revealed that it will follow lead character, Alex Murphy. The upcoming game will use the likeness of original actor Peter Weller for the FPS title that is slated to arrive in June 2023.
The gameplay was shown off at Nacon Connect 2022 showcase and featured the dystopian city of Detroit from the point of view of RoboCop himself. As violence plagues the city, players will work on cleaning up the streets in a mix of gun combat and melee combat with all the advantages of RoboCop at your disposal such as his targeting system and more.
RoboCop: Rogue City‘s trailer description reads:
“Welcome to Detroit; crime runs rampant as the city lies on the edge of ruin, people fighting for scraps as others live extravagant lives of luxury. Control of the Detroit Police Department is given to the Omni Consumer Products corporation in an attempt to restore order. You are that solution, RoboCop, a cyborg tasked with protecting the city.”
RoboCop: Rogue City will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in June 2023. Check out the gameplay trailer below:
