Lords of the Trident are Mad With Power

Lords of the Trident are Mad With Power

Ty Christian, aka Fang Von Wrathenstein, is the lead singer of one of my all-time favorite heavy metal bands, Lords of the Trident!

I got the chance to sit down with Ty and talk about a number of things, including whether or not a hot dog is, in fact, a sandwich, what inspired him to get into music, the inspiration behind the name of the band, and the band’s music, their songwriting process, and more!  We also chat about what we can see from Lords of the Trident in the future (possibly some new music coming very soon), and any advice he may have for up-and-coming creatives!

Speaking of the future of Lords of the Trident, they have a music festival coming up very soon called Mad With Power Fest, the largest Arcade, Pinball, and Heavy Metal festival in the Northern United States!  What is Mad With Power Fest you may ask?  I’m glad you did!

After years of multiple broken promises from two major metal festivals in the U.S., Ty Christian (Fang VonWrathenstein, vocals for Lords of the Trident) decided to put that frustration to good use and start his own festival. And this fest would be better: because it would be held at an arcade! With no local arcades big enough to host a fest, he made his own: filling a large venue with scores of arcade and pinball machines, all of which are set on free play.

This is their sixth year running it, and this two-day festival will be at the Sylvee in Madison, WI August 18th and 19th!  For more info, check out their website!
