Netflix’s Live-Action Resident Evil Series Releasing This July
Netflixhas announced the release date for their upcoming live-action series adaptation of Resident Evil. Along with the release date announcement, the streamer released a trio of posters for the horror series based on the popular video game franchise.
The posters had the release date displayed and feature some bloody pharmaceutical pills and vials which most likely point to the infamous Umbrella Corporation. There wasn’t much more information displayed on the posters, so as far as story details go, there isn’t much more than previously announced.
Netflix shared the series description which you can check out below:
“Year 2036 – 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker fights for survival in a world overrun by the bloost-thirsty infected and insane creatures. In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s chilling comparisons to the Umbrella Corporation, but mostly what happened to her sister, Billie.”
They also took to social media to announce the cast that includes Lance Reddick, Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, and Paola Nunez.
Other than the description and cast mentioned above, not much else is known. It won’t take long to get more information as the series is just a few months away, releasing exclusively on Netflix on July 14th, 2022. Check out the posters below:
