Knock At The Cabin Trailer Reveals the Next Shyamalan Horror, Will You Answer the Door?
Universal Pictureshad dropped the first trailer for the upcoming horror mystery film Knock At The Cabin. The film will be an adaptation of the novel The Cabin at the End of the World by author Paul Tremblay. The film was adapted by filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan and follows a couple and their daughter staying at a cabin cut off from the rest of the world. As the family is enjoying their time in the secluded forest, their vacation is disrupted by a group of strangers who show up at the cabin.
The official synopsis for Knock At The Cabin reads:
“While vacationing at a remote cabin, a young girl and her parents are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand that the family make an unthinkable choice to avert the apocalypse. With limited access to the outside world, the family must decide what they believe before all is lost.”
The film stars Dave Bautista, Jonathan Groff, Ben Aldridge, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Kristen Cui, Abby Quinn, and Rupert Grint. The film was helmed by Shyamalan who also penned the screenplay alongside Steve Desmond and Michael Sherman. The film was produced by Shyamalan, Marc Bienstock, and Ashwin Rajan with Steven Schneider, Christos V. Konstantakopoulos, and Ashley Fox executive producing.
The trailer hints at the film staying faithful to the source material within the novel but Shyamalan is renowned for the twists and turns within his projects. Whether he adds some of that to this film remains to be seen but the novel the film is based on is more than intriguing on its own.
Knock At The Cabin will release in theaters on February 3rd, 2023. Check out the trailer below:
