Jennifer Garner Reprising Role As Elektra in Deadpool 3
Deadpool 3 continues to heat up and build momentum as rumors and reports circulate about the threequel. THR has confirmed that Jennifer Garner will reprise her role as Elektra in the upcoming film.
This report comes on the heels of rumors that Ben Affleck would be reprising his role as Daredevil in the film. Although the film is in murky waters as it films through the WGA strike, Ryan Reynolds continues to find ways to give fans what they want in another entry of the merc with a Mouth’s live-action adaptation.
Deadpool spotted on set
Recent set photos were released showing Reynolds in full costume and donning a slightly different but still familiar look. There are also reports that Hugh Jackman, who is reprising his role as Wolverine/Logan will be donning the comic-accurate costume. Fans are eager to finally see Jackman in full gear reminiscent of the comic book character which we also hope includes the iconic mask.
Garner debuted as Elektra in the Affleck-led Daredevil film which led to her spinoff film aptly titled Elektra in 2005. After almost 20 years, she will be back in costume with Sai in hand but Reynolds and Garner are no strangers to working together as the pair starred in Netflix’s The Adam Project together which surprise, surprise, was directed by Deadpool 3 director Shawn Levy.
Levy has some heavy hitters helping push the film’s narrative as Bob’s Burgers’ Wendy Molyneaux and Lizzie Molyneaux-Loeglin penned the script with Deadpool and Deadpool 2 writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick returning to contribute with the scripting of the film.
Deadpool 3 will also star Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Stefan Kapičić, and Emma Corrin, and Matthew Macfadyen in currently-unknown roles.
Deadpool 3 is currently slated to release exclusively in theaters on May 3, 2024.
