Deadpool 3: Hugh Jackman to Reprise Role of Wolverine in Deadpool Threequel?
Hugh Jackman‘s time as the Logan/Wolverine seemed to have ended after he hung up the claws in 2017. Ryan Reynolds who is a longtime frenemy of Jackman has lobbied for Jackman to appear as Wolverine in Deadpool many times over since they shared the screen together in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The origin film of Wolverine gave fans the first look at an alternative Deadpool which proved lackluster to fans but inevitably led to Reynolds fueling the fire that brought us the Deadpool franchise films that we have adored.
Now, it seems as if Reynolds is teasing that Jackman is set to reprise his role as Wolverine hot off his tour in The Music Man Broadway show. The video shows a montage of Reynolds talking about the highly-anticipated threequel that will be the first in the trilogy to be officially part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As Reynolds jokingly confirms he has no fresh ideas for the next entry, we see Jackman casually walking by with Reynolds asking if Jackman will play Wolverine once more, to which he replies “yea, sure, Ryan.”
Reynolds is known to joke quite frequently and many times about Jackman playing Wolverine, but the fire is fueled by the video ending with a Deadpool logo being struck down by Wolverine’s claws and the next big reveal of a release date for the film which has the film dropping in theaters on September 24th, 2024.
Stay tuned as more information is revealed on the developing story. For now, be ready for Deadpool 3“coming Hughn.”
