I Am Groot Trailer Reveals Epic Adventures Are On the Way
Marvel Studios treated fans to a first-look trailer for the highly-anticipated animated series I Am Groot during today’s San Diego Comic-Con panel. The upcoming Disney+ original series will be arriving on the streaming service in early August and will feature five short stories with different adventures taken by the lovable Groot who is voiced by Vin Diesel in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy MCU films.
In what looks to be a comedy-heavy series, the short featured during today’s SDCC panel, shows Baby Groot crossing paths with tiny creatures and even features the first televised Groot fart? The animation style was the highlight of the trailer as it showcases impressive visuals in the short stories that take place during the events of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
The five short stories will feature Diesel reprising his role of Groot with Bradley Cooper reprising his role at Rocket in the series helmed by Kirsten Lepore. James Gunn is attached to the animated series as executive producer. While more gust stars and details on the other short stories are sure to come in the future, this new look is sure to excite fans.
I am Groot will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on August 10th, 2022. Check out the teaser trailer below:
