Horizon Call of the Mountain Gameplay Trailer Features Guerilla Games Upcoming VR Adventure
PlayStation‘s State of Play event brought fans a gameplay trailer of Guerilla Games‘ upcoming VR adventure, Horizon Call of the Mountain. With a release date still pending, the upcoming VR entry in the Horizon franchise showed off footage giving players a better idea of the plot points surrounding the upcoming game. With an impressive environment set to be explored in VR, the trailer does a stellar job of highlighting the impressive visuals and first-person shots of the environment and machines.
With Aloy taking a back seat for this adventure, players will step into the shoes of Ryas, a brand-new character who was formerly a Shadow Carja. After being released from prison by Blameless Marad to take on a deadly threat, Ryas finds himself washed ashore after an attack on his captors from a Snapmaw.
This all leads to the adventure that awaits players as Ryas in the upcoming PSVR2 campaign. The game will also feature a wild rapids experience with the Call of the Mountain River Ride. The bonus feature promises to offer players a completely new way to experience Horizon‘s world.
The PlayStation Blog offered more depth to Ryas’s story, saying:
“Throughout your journey, you’ll master various tools and weapons and use the world’s many materials to craft additional gear, equipping you for any situation. But you won’t be going it alone. Along the way, you’ll meet Horizon characters new and old, including Aloy herself.”
Horizon Call of the Mountain does not have a release date but will release on PlayStation VR2. Check out the trailer below:
