Hiroshi Katagiri Interview: From Special Effects to the Director’s Chair, Hiroshi Looks to Expand His Movie-Making Knowledge
Our latest episode of Fandom Sessions introduces us to special effects makeup wiz Hiroshi Katagiri who is venturing into his directorial debut for the film End of Loyalty. The film stars Braxton Angle, Justice Joslin, Simon Phillips, and Sho Ikushima.
Hiroshi has had his hand in the special effects world for many years and has worked on projects such as Avatar: The Way of the Water, The Mandalorian, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. He now looks to expand his love of the industry by taking the helm in the upcoming film that will arrive in March and hopes to have unlocked a new passion to build upon his already impressive resume.
The film’s synopsis reads:
“When the head of a notorious crime family is killed by a rival family, his son Grant promises retribution. But as Grant’s grief turns into violence and destruction, his best friend Ray, a federal agent, does everything he can to keep Grant from going off the deep end. Their friendship is tested as both men cling to their conflicting moral codes.”
