Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Trailer Gives Fans an Emotional Conclusion to the MCU’s Ragtag Group of Heroes
Marvel Studios has unveiled a trailer for the highly-anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The film will cap off the trilogy for the ragtag group of heroes and will also serve as the final entry for this group of Guardians as well as director James Gunn‘s farewell as he enters a new superhero adventure as Co-CEO of DC Studios. The trailer shows to be an emotional conclusion for our team and kicks things off as Zoe Saldaña‘s Gamora, who is now with the Ravagers, tries to explain to Chris Pratt‘s Peter Quill that she is not the Gamora he fell in love with and that she is no longer here.
We saw a glimpse of this even back in the Infinity Saga as we saw Thanos trade Gamora’s life for the Soul Stone and the Gamora we see at the end of the saga was in fact a Gamora from a prior timeline and although she joined the Guardians, she was not the same person who he spent that time with and fell in love with. The film will also introduce a new threat to the Guardians as Adam Warlock, who was previously teased in an after-credit scene enters the scene and is played by Will Poulter. We also know that the High Evolutionary played by Chukwudi Iwuji will play a role in the film.
Starring alongside Pratt and Saldana will be Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Elizabeth Debicki, Sean Gunn, Sylvester Stallone, Michael Rosenbaum, and Maria Bakalova. The film is helmed by Gunn who also penned the script. The film is produced by Kevin Feige, and David J. Grant. Louis D’Esposito,Victoria Alonso,Simon Hatt, Nikolas Korda, and Sara Smith executive-produced the film.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will premiere in theaters on May 5, 2023.
